Coimbatore police arrests man for assaulting wife

The police on Wednesday arrested A. Das (27) on the charge of attacking his wife, Akila, with a sickle on Tuesday.

Sources said the husband assaulted his spouse following differences arisen among them. Akila was admitted to a hospital in Coimbatore.

The police have constituted special teams to investigate the incident in which some persons allegedly set fire an IMFL outlet at Devanurpuram on Tuesday.
