Southern Railway – Salem Division on Friday launched a cleanliness awareness campaign at the Coimbatore Railway Junction. It was flagged off by Chairman of GEM Hospitals Dr. C. Palanivelu and Senior Divisional Medical Officer Subhidha Manicksam.
Nursing students of GEM Institute along with staff of the railways took out a rally on the platforms, sensitising the passengers on their role in keeping the station clean.
They boarded trains and distributed pamphlets to the passengers asking them not to litter the coaches and railway stations and to extend their support in keeping the stations clean.
