Child killed in fall from two-wheeler near Sukrawarpet

Victim was travelling on a two-wheeler driven by his father

Four-year-old Asif, son of Hakkim Raja of Saramedu, was killed in an accident when the two-wheeler on which he was travelling with his father was knocked down by a water lorry near Sukrawarpet — TK Market junction on Thursday. It is learnt that the boy, who was studying in lower kindergarten in a school in Chokkampudur, was being brought back home from school when the water lorry knocked down the two-wheeler after hitting a van.

The victim suffered a head injury and died at a hospital.

Arrested

Traffic Investigation wing police have arrested lorry driver Ravichandran and further investigation is on.
