Charity auction organised

The Department of Psychology of PSG College of Arts and Science and PSG Institute of Management organised a charity auction here on Monday.

It was to commemorate the International Day of Charity that falls on September 5 (the death anniversary of Mother Teresa).

Contributed

Students of the institutions who are good at painting, art and craft works, quelling works and terracotta jewellery making contributed their handiworks for the auction. The amount fetched by the products beyond the base price of the articles would be given for a charitable cause.

This year, students of the institution would be donating the outcome of the auction to a home that is housing 280 homeless destitute and underprivileged children. During earlier years, the college students donated about 350 blankets to street side dwellers with the outcome of the auction.
