Abduction drama: four held in Coimbatore

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy who enacted a drama about being abducted, took into custody three of his associates, and recovered stolen car accessories worth Rs. 2 lakh.

Police found the boy, hailing from Ottappalam in Palakkad District of Kerala, bound and gagged inside a locked car. He was employed in a car workshop in Kavundam- palayam.

However, investigation revealed that he had joined hands with Arun Prasad (19), Augustin (19) and Roselyn (19), in faking a theft at the workshop.

The trio had taken away car accessories.

Abandoned

The plan was to stage a drama that gangsters had abducted the boy and abandoned him in Peelamedu.
