Book festival
Coimbatore District Small Industries Association will organise Coimbatore Book Festival 2016 from August 19 to 28 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The event will have 260 stalls and 200 publishers from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, and New Delhi will take part. Over one lakh titles of books are expected to be exhibited and sold. The organisers will launch a movement for book reading and it will be held regularly after the exhibition too. Writer Balakumaran and publisher Tirunelveli Saiva Siddhantha Noor Padhippu Kazhagam will be presented with Lifetime Achievement for writer and publisher respectively, according to a press release.
