Teaching is not a profession for income, but for outcome

Teaching is a profession where focus should be on the outcome of their efforts to mould students and not in the income as in many other fields.

These were words of advice of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) C. Sylendra Babu at the valedictory of the two-day Miracle Maker programme at Udumalpet on Saturday.

More than 300 teachers from 75 schools in Udhagamandalam, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Pollachi and Udumalpet participated in the programme, organised by Only Success Leadership Academy with

The Hindu in School , Rotary Club of Udumalpet and Vidya Nethrra Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pollachi.

Highlighting the role played by two of his teachers that motivated him to become a successful officer, Mr. Sylendra Babu asked participants to be role models for their students.

He also asked teachers to show their love and affection to students, before clarifying doubts raised by the participants and distributing certificates to them.

Chief executive officer of Only Success Learning Technologies G. Vidya Shankar explained how teachers can make miracles happen in the classroom by doing small things in a different way.

Vice-president (Marketing) Nirmala Nandakumar and her team trained the participants on various aspects.

It included importance of power of mind set, taking charge of emotions, behavioural patterns of children, power of memory, Pygmalion effect on children, communication and power of connecting with children.
