Siddha, Ayurveda doctors honoured

The SKM Centre for Ayush System Research and Education, a non-profit organisation, honoured Siddha and Ayurveda doctors at a function held near here on Sunday.

The SKM Acharya 2010 award was presented to L. Mahdevan of Sri Sarada Ayurvedic Hospital in Kanyakumari. Others selected are G. Sivaravan - SKM Clinical Practitioner award, V. Rajamohan - SKM Research Scholar award, T. Thirunarayanan - SKM Ayush Contributor award, N. Loganathan - SKM Traditional Herbal Research award and A. Balasubramanian - SKM Mooligai Sironmani Award.

The following awards were presented through the Sarada Mahadeva Iyer Ayurvedic Educational and Charitable Trust: Best Ayurvedic Tridoshic Clinical Practitioner Award – P.R. Krishnaprasad, Young Scientific Varma Practitioner award - R. Iyankannu, Brining Excellence in Indian Medicine Bhaisajyaratna award – L. Sivakumar, Excellence in Exhibiting Plant Identification and Documentation award S. Rajeswaran and Best Siddha Young Scientist Award J. Sriram.

SKM Group of Companies Chairman Maeilanandhan presented the awards.

A technical seminar on “In-depth analysis of Vata Roga based on Tridosha theory” was also held as part of the function. SMK Siddha and Ayurveda Managing Director Shivkumar and General manager L. Sivakumar were present.
