City Police Commissioner C. Sylendra Babu recently felicitated J.S. Venkatachalapathy of Coimbatore Rifle Club who won a silver medal in the 50 M Rifle Prone Men event at the Singapore Open Shooting Championships held between July 7 and 21.
He represented the Tamil Nadu Shooting Association. The competition was attended by 12 countries including India, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Egypt, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
The silver medal won by Mr. Venkatachalapathy ensured a bronze medal for the team events.
