The Tamil Nadu Electricity Consumers' Association has appealed to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board to distribute the power shortage equally across the State.
In a release, association president A.V. Varadharajan said unscheduled power cuts were increasing.
Apart from the scheduled load shedding, the unscheduled power cut which was on the rise was affecting industries in rural areas.
