Lawyers' plea to Chief Minister

The Coimbatore District Chapter of the Indian Advocates Association has urged the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to announce a cash relief of Rs. 10 lakh to the family members of the deceased advocate or to those wanting to retire after 25 years of service.

In a memorandum, R. Sevvilamparithi, District Secretary of the Chapter, said that similarly, the Special Medical Insurance Scheme coverage should be provided to all the practicing advocates in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and the same should be extended to their family members.

The memorandum also appealed for a loan of Rs. 5 lakh with a condition for repayment of the same in five years.
