Check and Fill awareness campaign launched in city

The Check and Fill, Right Fuel is your Right, customers awareness campaign at IOCL retail outlets was launched in Coimbatore City on Friday by the District Revenue Officer, Coimbatore, S. Moorthy.

Indian Oil Corporation as part of their retail initiative is conducting the campaign on an all-India basis.

Customers have been asked to check quality and quantity of fuel at the retail outlet and report the outcome to the toll free numbers or telephone numbers of field officers/ Divisional offices displayed at the retail outlet.

The name of the initiative to educate the customers is ‘Check and Fill. Right Fuel is your Right’.

The customers need to know their right to check the basic quality and the quantity of fuel dispensed at retail outlets. The campaign is being done at all retail outlets in five districts, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Nilgiris and Dindigul.

The launch of the same was done at KR Service Station on Travellers Bungalow Road, Coimbatore and the quality and quantity was found to be right. Quantity was checked through calibrated five litre measure and quality checks like filter paper test.

Density checks were carried out in the presence of DRO, S. Murthy; P. Kumaravel, Senior Divisional Retail Sales Manager; T. Palanikumar, Manager (Retail – Sales); and B. Sankar (Deputy Manager – Retail Sales).
