586 candidates write SI examination

SI examination

A total of 586 police department personnel below the rank of Sub-Inspector wrote the examination for SI selection in The Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts as part of the State-wide examination conducted on Sunday. Twenty-five candidates of these two districts absented themselves from the examination. In Coimbatore, a total of 545 candidates including 413 men and 132 women had applied and 523 candidates including 394 men and 129 women wrote the examination. In The Nilgiris, 66 candidates had applied and 63 of them including 19 women wrote the examination.
