3.19 lakh children targeted in pulse polio drive

District Collector Archana Patnaik on Monday reviewed the arrangements for the pulse polio campaign, which has been scheduled for January 18 and 22.

According to an official release, 3.19 lakh children were being targeted through 1,581 booths that would be set up across the district. As many as 6,531 personnel would be deployed for pulse polio campaign.

The Collector urged the people of Coimbatore to have their children, aged less than five years, immunised during this campaign.

Deputy Director of Public Health A. Somasundaram, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project Officer D. Manimekalai and other officials took part in the meeting.
