Inspired by the book ‘The Motorcycle Diaries' by Marxist revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara, 29-year-old Emandi Kalyan Prasad, has embarked on a motorcycle tour from Visakhapatnam to Kanyakumari.

“I have been dreaming about the trip for four years. The aim is to experience different cultures and to spread the message of peace and brotherhood,” said Mr. Prasad, who arrived in Tiruchi on Saturday.

Mr.Prasad, who hails from Visakhapatnam works as a construction engineer in Oman. “I am on a 28-day leave and decided to utilise it to realise my dream,” he said.

Mr.Prasad and his Irish friend Hugo Gill had actually planned the trip. “When I was doing my business studies in Ireland I played cricket for the Clontarf Cricket Club. Gill was my club mate and had an admiration for India, a multicultural and multi-linguistic country.

Though he could not accompany me this time around due to unavoidable reasons, we have planned a bike journey across India in the future,” he said.

During the trip, Mr. Prasad interacted with the students of couple of schools in Andhra Pradesh and with the MBA students of Pondicherry Central University.
