That's when libraries like Glow Worm Club Children's Library come to your rescue, where you can technically be away from your house and still have fun. Located at Anna Nagar, this library caters specially to children up to 12 years of age and hence the rule of traditional libraries do not apply — you don't have to maintain pin drop silence, you don't have to return the books to the racks, your parent can keep you company in the library and here's the best part — you can play!
Books are categorised according to age groups like zero to four, four to six, six to eight, and eight and above. There are also sections like art and craft, encyclopaedias and comics.

Glow Worm lets you borrow four books at a time. It's not just books. You can borrow CDs and audio books as well, of which they have plenty. If you want to while away your time at the library, you are welcome to do so, amid the colourful walls and furniture where you can read to your heart's content. Or just skip to the next room dedicated entirely to board games and puzzles.
If not this, then just participate in the many activities that Glow Worm Club organises like science experiments workshop, story telling, theatre, dance, drawing, communication skills, personality development, brain gym, art and craft and lots more. These are organised as after school activities but now that the vacation is on there are summer camps along these themes.
