Getting drenched: Something special. Photo: S. Subramanium

For most people, Sundays are days when they're free and get to relax and rewind. Well, in my case, no! Sundays are when I have to work on all my homework, and projects. On a Sunday, most often, you would find me doing research for some project or going hyper over a Maths sum.

Different

But this Sunday, I should say, was different. I had a satisfying dinner( and that was by the way, curd rice and kootu, not something exotic or special) and was watching television with my family. Suddenly, it started raining heavily; it was raining cats and dogs. It was so pleasant outside that I wanted to get drenched in the rain. I switched off the T.V. and stood in the balcony of the bedroom. The wind was blowing through my hair and I held out my hand to feel the raindrops. It was pitch dark, the leaves on the trees were moving and the sound of the rain was so soothing to the ears! I was reminded of the Ode To The West Wind which described a similar scene.

Then, I realised that Sundays are not that bad after all. I was actually feeling pretty good. I felt positive about the next day's tests.

Relax!

So, all of you out there, who have a test, an exam or anything challenging to do on a Monday especially, take time out and make yourself feel good about what you're about to do.

Spend some time by yourself...take a walk, read a book or even play with your dog, if you have one.
