If travelling were free, some of us would never be around! That’s the thing about wanderlust. It does the body, heart, and soul so much good. With a few long weekends and colder months ahead, here are some of the most popular destinations to visit at this time of the year.

Nivea Edwards, an art professor says, “We’re off to Tuscany for our honeymoon next month. We’re foodies and it is a great place to be. From fresh figs and grapes to mushrooms, truffles, and olive oil, fall in Tuscany is as indulgent as it gets.

A few of my friends are taking off to Milan, Italy, in the meanwhile to survey the hub of fashion, design, and art.”

“Like most people, my husband and I visited Peru in its dry season. It is a lovely time to visit this mystical country. The tourist season is winding up but you still have beautiful sunny days, cool nights, and most of the magnificent Andes pretty much to yourselves! You cannot miss seeing Machu Pichu, Lake Titicaca, The Amazon, Nazca Lines, and the lesser explored Colca Canyon,” says Priya Wesley, an engineer and avid traveller.

Paris offers more than the Eiffel Tower. “Pont Saint-Louis, the bridge connecting Île de la Cité with Île Saint-Louis, offers beautiful views of the river Seine. If you’re looking for some peace and tranquillity, visit Promenade Plantée, an elevated walkway. Montmartre offers the perfect vantage point to get amazing pictures,” says wedding photographer, Ananya S.K.

“Southeast Asian countries have been among the favourite destinations for tourists. It’s never a bad time to visit Thailand, especially the smaller islands such as Krabi and Phi Islands. Langkawi and Kuala Lampur are a must-visit in Malaysia, and Bali is popular for honeymoons and destination weddings at this time of the year. We have seen more Indians opting to visit places like Vietnam. The weather is generally pleasant throughout the north and south. We have a bunch of youngsters all set to go trekking in the Annapurna region of Nepal where they will get to see the majestic Himalayas,” says Tanisha Roberts, who works with a tourism company.

Adventure lovers shouldn’t miss the opportunity of paragliding in Manali,” states Rishvi Nanda, a travel blogger.

Autumn is also the perfect time to visit the valley of Kashmir“

This old city is so charming with its beautiful mosques and marketplaces. ,” says Rakshith Mohan, a tour guide.
