The wonders of Jamaica

Take in the wonders of Jamaica; but first- take a selfie! Jamaica’s natural beauty, heritage and unusual locales are so intriguing and special; you’ll feel obliged to share them with the world. As you enjoy the simple pleasures of the little island, snap a selfie or two so you’ll never forget those special moments you’ll most likely cherish forever. Here are a few suggestions for interesting photo ops:

Blue Mountain Peak : The 4 hour trek up 7,402 feet, the highest point on the island, warrants a celebratory selfie! You championed the cold, fog and countless encounters with strange bugs and now the world deserves to know. In fact if you really want to make a statement – begin your journey before 2am to catch the glorious sunrise for an even more astounding backdrop for your selfie. After this your selfie game is sure to peak!

Cliff at Sunset: When the sun sets in Negril it’s an event. Everyone gathers by the cliff side to be awed by the transitioning sky as night falls. The spectacle is so stunning it is common practice of onlookers to clap Mother Nature for her artistry. You’ll never see another sunset quite like those from the cliffs of Negril so act fast and take a quick selfie with the fiery sky, then enjoy the view before it’s all over.

On the beach with coconut jelly : Nothing says vacationing in Jamaica quite like sipping on a coconut jelly while lounging on the beach. When you take your selfie, don’t leave the coconut out of the shot- it’s guaranteed more likes! Oh and the hashtag “island life” (#islandlife), can’t forget that either!

Pelican Bar : How often do you get to have a drink from a bar in the middle of the ocean? The Pelican Bar is one of the most unique bars in Jamaica and the world by extension, located just a quarter of a mile out at sea from Treasure Beach (St. Elizabeth). Either stand on the inside right by the “Pelican Bar” sign or on the makeshift boardwalk at a little distance from the actual structure, to get a shot of the bar in the background; now that’s a cool selfie.
