Get up close and personal with the lensmen whose works hang in galleries and public spaces around Pondy. Open to the public.

Panel discussion : Join veteran Pablo Bartholomew, Dinesh Khanna, founder of Delhi Photo festival and French photographer Yannick Cormier as they debate on photography in the public space in ‘Getting Art Out There’. Auroville-based photographer Sebastian Cortes, who has captured Puducherry on his camera extensively, will moderate.

Procession: Mohanam Sound crew will take out a tribal procession on the beach.

Old Distillery, 8.30 p.m.

Dance: Going Tribal, a dance performance by Mohanam at the venue of the photo exhibition ‘Tribals of the Indian sub-continent’, an anthropological insight into tribals of India by Pablo Bartholomew, supplemented by photographs of other international artists.

March 23

International award winning photographer Senthil Kumaran conducts this workshop for those waiting for an introduction to Documentary photography.

Performance: “A Graphic Re-Interpretation — an art installation and performance by Dirty Arts.

Centre Point Hall, Hotel Atithi, 7.30 p.m.

Digital presentation: Join Nicolas Morelle and kite photographer Nicholas Chorier for a talk on ‘The Future of 3D modelling in India from a scientific perspective.’

March 27

Aurodhan Gallery, Rue Francois Martin, Kuruchikuppam, 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Gallery Gathering: ‘God’s Eye’— two American photographers Tom Lamb and John Craig look at the world from down contrasting perspectives — from ground level and with a bird’s eye. Also catch Lalit Verma’s Diplomatic Domains, a photo essay of the embassies of various nations.

March 28

Artika Café Gallery, Rue Laboudonnais, 5.30 p.m.

Exhibition of ‘The Pink Choice’ by Maika Elan/MoST Artists and Myriam Meloni’s ‘Important things said Softly’, two exhibits from the Delhi Photo Festival.

INTACH, Rue Aurobindo, 6.30 p.m.

Digital presentation: Ajit Koujalgi, chief architect, INTACH, presents the heritage buildings of the town in ‘Pondicherry, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.’
