One could sense the fatal attraction from a mile. When Jennifer Lopez makes an entry as the English literature teacher who swears by classics with soft lighting and prying camera caressing her contours, the writing is on the wall. Known for conjuring campy stuff, Cohen makes it all the more clear by putting Claire through a divorce with a philandering husband.
Raising her son Kevin alone, Claire is lonely. In comes Noah (Ryan Guzman), flaunting his triceps and his fascination for Homer. Of course, he is smitten by his teacher. And one rainy night a lapse in judgement on the part of her turns him into a psychotic stalker.
He shows care for Kevin only to manipulate him against his father who is trying to make a comeback to Claire.

After crossing the bar, Claire returns to her moral moorings and Noah loses his senses. It is a kind of film that stubbornly sticks to the stereotypes to titillate the impressionable minds in all age groups who want to sneak into an adult film with the idea of instant gratification.
As for the mature audience, it is the tried and tested territory which lost its novelty and mystery, if there was any in the first place, many summers ago. Avoid.
