Thirteen-year-old Pranav loves dancing. But he’s not a professional; he’s self-taught, watching videos of Hrithik Roshan and Raghava Lawrence on Youtube.
But that was enough for him to get a chance to star in an international music album. It was his raw dancing skills on the stands of the M A Chidambaram stadium during the IPL matches that caught the attention of Chennai Super Kings cricketer Dwayne Bravo, who wanted Pranav to feature in his recently released music video Chalo Chalo .
For this student of Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, it was a dream-come-true. “When Bravo’s manager called my father (Murali) during one of the IPL matches, we didn’t know what was in store. It turned out that the cricketer had been following my dance sessions in the stands for a few seasons, and wanted me to feature in his music video,” says a proud Pranav.

Not surprisingly, Pranav was a tad nervous to face the camera. Not just because he had no formal training in dance, but also due to the fact that he was up close with a celebrity cricketer.
“Bravo put me at ease,” he recalls, “He mentioned that he was also relatively new to the camera and encouraged me.”
After the shoot, Pranav gifted the cricketer Chennai-specific gifts – a T-shirt featuring a Rajinikanth punch dialogue, among other things.

Post Chalo Chalo , the youngster hopes to take up dancing seriously. “I plan to enrol in classes and learn dance professionally,” he says.
