Vijay TV’s spiritual fest is back

After many successful seasons, Vijay TV’s Bhakthi Thiruvizha is back in its eighth season. The five-day spiritual fest which began on March 16 at Chennai’s Narada Gana Sabha, will see scholars and singers present discourses and music performances. This festival was inaugurated by Swami Gnanananda Saraswathi on 16 March. The programmes are as follows:

On March 18, at 5 p.m., Sindhuja will render Upanyasam on ‘Pandurangan Magimai’. At 6 p.m., Upanyasam on ‘Thirumagal Thiruarul’ will be by Ananthapadmanabachariyar. At 7 p.m., it will be time for songs on Lord Murugan by Pushpa Anand. At 7.45 p.m., . Karunakarachariyar talk on ’Manathirukku Iniyasinam.’

On March 19, 5 p.m., 7-year-old Varsha Buvaneswari will present Upanyasam on Parvathi Kalyanam. At 6 p.m., Dhaamal Perundevi will present a discourse on on ‘Kothaiyum Govindanum.’ At 7 p.m., Kadayanallur Tukaram Ganapathi Maharaj will sing abhangs.

On March 20, 5 p.m., Upanyasam on ‘Sundarakaandam’ will be given by Dushyanth Sridhar. At 6 p.m., Isaiyum Uraiyum ‘Guruvaiyurukku Vaarungal’ by Damal Ramakrishnan and Smitha Madhav will be presented. At 7.30 p.m., Desa Mangayarkarasi will render Upanyasam on ‘Valli Devayanai.’

Special prasadam from various temples will be offered to the audience on all the days.
