Sahara TV has made yet another addition to its perpetual list of women-centric telly soaps.Based on the hardships of seven-year-old separated from her mother, the serial has a kid as its protagonist. Ek Chutki Aasman concentrates on the real life struggles faced by the women folk even 60 years after independence.
“Khate hain jo kheer, banjaate hain veer,” Chutki, played by Roshni Parekh, a chirpy seven-year-old from Borivalli, Mumbai, effortlessly narrates a dialogue from the serial. The character of her mother Himangi is played by Delhi-based Chhavi Mittal, who after her husband's death is forced to leave Chutki at her brother's house and look for livelihood in Mumbai. The story is carried forward by Chutki's journey to unite her with her mother.
