In the quiet residential neighbourhood of Balaji Nagar, Royapettah, is Studio Profile's new space, spanning over 2,300 sq.ft. of spa and salon. Inaugurated recently by Swetha Mohan and Vijay Yesudoss, this is the ninth outlet of the franchise.
“This area needed a salon and when we found people willing to start one, we took it. With this one, we've covered nearly all the major pockets in the city,” say Studio Profile partners Mita Banker and Jennifer Thomas.
The salon is run by Varsha Suresh, and has eight cutting chairs, three back washes, four manicure and pedicure stations, and three facial and spa rooms. “The USP of this salon is the privacy it offers,” says Varsha. “Salon time is your time, and you just want to relax, listening to music.”

This is Varsha's first entrepreneurial venture. “People frequent a salon when they like the staff and the services they offer. Otherwise, you'd always switch to another place,” she says.
