For Kangana Ranaut fitness is not an unalterable activity but one that has multiple layers to it. And the actor, who hides immense strength beneath that slender physique Krrish 3 , believes in following the right kind of health regimen and taking a simple yet nutritious diet.

The National-award winning actor was at her stylish best during her visit to Delhi. “I believe in the virtues of yoga and its healing powers. But I also do weight training as it has wonderful exercises where strength, stamina and self-discipline are required like squats. Since I enjoy going through different set of exercises my workout involves a combination of exercises,” says Kangana, who had come to her “favourite city” to unveil the Big Fish Ventures App.

Kangana believes in taking small meals drinking plenty of fluids, particularly fresh juice and boiled vegetables. Kangana keeps track of the calories she consumes on a daily basis. After finishing her wheat pizza, the calorie-conscious actress knew exactly how many calories she had consumed as it was specified in the menu of The Junkyard Café. “I take a no-meat diet and vegetarian food makes me feel lighter and stronger. Veggies are nutritious and I am sticking to them. But this does not mean that I don’t like to chill out and eat fast food. I love eating Italian food,” says the actor, who was declared as the hottest vegetarian by PETA.

The actor likes trying out new restaurants near her home in Mumbai. I think apps which can help us find out different type of restaurants operating in the vicinity can be pretty useful. Like here one can do table reservations,” says Kangana.

Is her fitness schedule dependent on the film at hand? “Yes, the exercises are programmed taking into account the nature of my immediate film. Like in Krrish 3 , I was required to perform some difficult stunts. Similarly in my upcoming film Rangoon I am getting training in horse riding and sword fighting. So I have to concentrate on a set of exercises which are essentially strength training. Right now I am doing a combination of different yogic asanas and lifting weights. My weekly schedule these days is yoga four times and weight training twice.”
