Sathyaraj as cop. We’ve seen lots of that. But, Sathyaraj as a grim-looking cop with a bald pate? That’s the look the actor pulls off in director Hari’s Vishal and Shruti Haasan-starrer Poojai . In a note, the director has said Sathyaraj’s role will have a huge impact on the film. “Even revealing the character’s name will be a spoiler,” he says.
The veteran actor is now shooting with the unit in Karaikudi. “I’d shaved my hair for S.S. Rajamouli’s Bahubali and asked Hari if I could retain that look for Poojai . He okayed it,” says Sathyaraj. Neatly sidestepping any question related to the character, all the actor says is: “I’m very happy with my role. What else does an actor want? It’s great to team up with Hari and Vishal.”
