The general notion is that dresses do not flatter the Indian woman’s figure. Avirate, a womens’ clothing and accessories store, dispels this myth as the European-styled dresses are tailor-made to flatter any body type.
Avirate, a Sri Lanka based brand for which French designers work, has two outlets in the city and its third located at UB City Mall was recently launched in the city. The one-stop store has on offer over 300 styles of dresses and other collections that range from casual, chic to fashionable corporate wear.
“Since its inception in 2011, Avirate has been synonymous with style and sophistication of India’s discerning women,” informs Jahid Osman, Managing Director Fashion 365.

The apparel has been made of inter-twisted yarns, cottons, polyesters with spandex and lycra. The dresses come in different cuts such as A-line, sheath-straight, fitted, bandaged, shutter and pin-tuck shutter dresses. Dresses in gold sequins, satins, chiffons and georgettes, have been designed exclusively for evening wear. The evening wear dresses have been designed in a way to accentuate a woman’s figure. All the dresses can even be customised according to the needs of the customer.
Lace ’n’ silks
The blouses are similar in design and look as the dresses. There are blouses for women with a conservative style statement to those with a bolder one. There is an entire section of shrugs in lace, silks and denims.

Also available are slightly thicker version of jeggings in a variety of colours, from bright to muted, denims and some casual tops.
There are trendy and sophisticated clutches and totes, ladylike and funky footwear like flats, wedges and ballerinas to complete the modern look. Scarves, statement and dainty jewellery, belts, stockings, panty house and ultra feminine lingerie are on offer too.
The products are priced between Rs. 1800 and Rs. 8700. The in-style shoes range from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 7700.
