In a society that is getting more and more style-centric every day, it's a shame to see many still commit faux pas on a daily basis. Now why is it that we assign ‘glam-time' to only those special occasions? In the current corporate/youth trend, where appearance takes the top slot, it becomes doubly important to wear your attitude on your sleeve, in the literal sense here. All it honestly takes is a little attention and right styling.

For her: Well-fitted pair of denims with a graffiti tee and a bright-coloured (fuschia/forest green) jacket for that commute. Team that up with bold sneakers/gladiators. A cap/beanie (winters) finishes the look with a twist. Sling-back works best in the bag department. Wear your hair in a loose ponytail or a chic French braid.
For him: The collegians can take the campus mercury up a notch in anti-fits, baggy denims or overalls, team that with tees in eye-catching slogans, floaters to go along, a haircut to suit your face structure and you're set.
At office
For her: Low-waist black trousers/black skirt (length depends upon your comfort level) below a 3/4th sleeved pastel striped shirt with a scarf (in a contrast hue) knotted at the neck. Comfortable heels, a leather satchel for those carry-me-around essentials and finger and toe nails in matching enamel. Hair takes on a low bun or small portions in clips with the rest flowing. Jewellery stays minimal.
For him: Men dazzle in any formal wear; so a well-cut suit is always option numero uno. A neatly ironed shirt tucked into a well-stitched pair of trousers, a bright printed tie, Italian leather loafers and a clean shaven face make for a vogue corporate look.
The night-out
For her: A formal social scene should find sparkling. The LBD (little black dress) refuses to get off the list but shouldn't be your first pick always. A structured tunic with skin-tight black pants; big hair (read back-comb into high puff, rest in a loose one-sided knot) and chunky jewellery (precious stoned or fashion). Complete the look with either boots or patterned pumps and a lavish Pashmina for effect.
For him: A night out should see you make a statement with linens, cods or cargos accompanied by a full-sleeved tee inside covered by a half-sleeved tee. Gel your hair in spikes or just push the front up and put on an attention-grabbing accessory like a branded watch/bandana/fang ear piercing (works like a charm as a conversation starter).
The casual Sunday
For her: A Sunday brunch, a pool party or a leisurely viewing of a play specifies you to be ‘all girly' so a knee-length off-shoulder frock, a printed short jumpsuit or a pleated skirt teamed with a low-necked peasant blouse works wonders. Weave a multi-hued ribbon into that low plait, espadrilles to grace those feet, a cutsie wallet with a loud hat to complete the ensemble.
For him: Sundays are one occasion to get off that formal garb, so go all the way. Knee-length shorts or 3/4ths look ultra cute on guys with a gunji (floral shirt on top if the workouts haven't been all that regular). Shades, a glam belt (for the evening) and chaps in a neutral hue complete the silhouette.
