An open quiz to check your AQ or ansr quotient is on this weekend

IQ IQ and EQ are passé. What’s your AQ (ansr quotient) is the question ansrsource (pronounced answer-source) is asking all college students. To find out, ansrsource is inviting students to participate in The ansr Challenge 3/4 an open quiz for undergraduate and post-graduate students in Bangalore.

Polo. Walnut. Jenny. 50. These are just a sample few right answers that’ll add to your AQ. To know the questions read the box, and if you want more questions to answer, check out The ansr Challenge. Thought-provoking, challenging, stimulating, and just plain old fun, The ansr Challenge is the ultimate fix for the nation’s quizzing addicts, trivia junkies, and Wikipedia wizards. If that isn’t enough, there are the amazing prizes ansrsource is giving away — a whopping cash prize of one lakh rupees for the winning team and loads of exciting goodies for all the finalists and the audience.

The ansr Challenge’s regional rounds took place in Chennai on October 2 Bangalore on 6 October from 11 am onwards at the Good Shepherd Auditorium, Museum Road. The first-place winners in the regional rounds take home Rs. 25,000, the second-place winners walk away with Rs. 10,000, and the third-place winners get Rs. 5,000.

The grand finale between the winning teams from the two cities is scheduled to be held on October 6 from 3 pm onwards at the Good Shepherd Auditorium. One of the many prizes ansrsource is offering is a much-coveted internship which offers students numerous opportunities for individual learning and exploring a career in academics. “I am really looking forward to The ansr Challenge,” says Smit Zaveri, a student from Bangalore. “It is going to be a huge battleground with so many college students participating in it. My teammates and I have been preparing for it ever since we heard about it. We hope to win the internship as well. The other teams better watch out.”

The topics for the quiz will be general, covering a wide range of topics from astronomy to pop music, and will test more than just memorised facts. The Challenge will be anything but ‘trivial’ with demanding brain teasers and tricky mind benders, making The ansr Challenge a quiz that lives up to its name. Though the contest is being held in Chennai and Bangalore, leading colleges from other cities are also expected to participate.

The decision to sponsor a quiz — though an obvious one for a company such as ansrsource that is involved in education and learning — reflects the company’s aim to encourage curiosity and critical thinking in students. ansrsource provides comprehensive multidisciplinary academic project development, content development, and related services to the higher education and professional training industries.

“I have many friends working at ansrsource and they’ve been talking about the quiz for the past month,” says Shweta Kamath, a student from Bangalore. “Looking at the scale of this event, I am sure it’s going to be an awesome one. I am eagerly waiting for the challenge to begin so that I can showcase my AQ.”

For the students of Bangalore and Chennai who will face off in yet another battleground, it couldn’t get better!
