As the curtain comes down on 2013, Lal Jose is gearing up for new challenges by taking the path less taken. “This is perhaps the biggest challenge in my life. On June 15, along with two others, I plan to go on a road journey from Kochi to Europe. Suresh Joseph is the team leader. The third one is veteran automobile journalist Baiju M. Nair,” says Lal.

Suresh is in the Limca Book of Records for undertaking a solo expedition in a Maruti Swift car that touched the capitals of all the 28 States of the country and headquarters of 17 Zonal Railways.
They plan to buy a SUV, drive down to Kanyakumari and travel up the coast and then trace the old road route to Europe that was once used by traders before the sea routes to India were discovered.
