Your look is never complete without a pretty pair of shoes. But then you can’t always wear fancy footwear to work. We often think comfort is a boring pair of black sandals. But Fizzy Goblet shows it needn’t be that way.

Their wide range of colourful, stylish jootis brings together comfort and style. If you are willing to invest in a good pair of shoes for every occasion, then their jootis are a must try. “We were the first to revolutionarise jootis in India,” says Laksheeta Govil, founder of Fizzy Goblet, over phone.

“I started it three or four years earlier. I feel jootis are really underrated. There’s so much hand-artistry that goes into it,” she adds. To make the jootis comfortable, Laksheeta says: “We have used double padding and the softest of leathers.” Their delightful colour-and-wear shoes have been designed on the lines of colouring books. For this collection, Fizzy Goblet has collaborated with Bengaluru’s ace illustrator Alicia Souza. “We have two designs. One is Puppy Love Shoe which has a wacky dinosaur and other cute creatures. The other is Secret Garden Shoe which has sunflowers, lilies and blooming butterflies. We give 12 acrylic (water resistant) paints and a brush with the shoes. For those uncomfortable with paints, we give fabric markers,” says Laksheeta. You can colour the shoes the way you want, thereby giving free reign to your imagination.

Among their other outstanding collections are brogue jootis, called brogue-sters. “We even have the golden collection, which are festive jootis. The parrot collection has also done phenomenally well, especially for brides who like to wear the best trends,” says Laksheeta, who studied fashion designing at the Pearl Academy, Delhi, and worked at Lecoanet Hemant and at Puma, before she started Fizzy Goblet. The name too captures the essence of the quirky designs. “It’s a goblet of effervescence and fun.”
