Andrea Jeremiah looks gorgeous and has a fabulous voice. She is the same girl who sang the Zara Zara number for NTR-Ileana starrer Rakhi . She holds an account of singing more than a dozen songs in Tamil films. Two films-old in Tamil despite being in the industry for four years, she says she's not looking to build a grand total.
A singer first, Andrea does want to be an actor but she isn't desperate about getting work. “People can sniff out desperation and there's nothing worse than being at someone's mercy. Also, I pay no heed to the ‘shelf-life' syndrome that's drilled into every actor's head. Making money while on shelf is like grabbing what you can when the store has a special offer,” she adds.
The singer was in Hyderabad recently and calls it a rocking and a well planned city. “I've stayed at Film City and would often drive in to the city. It has great infrastructure, lots of good restaurants and the only trump card Chennai has over Hyderabad is the beach” she quips. Brought up in a nuclear family, this Anglo-Indian beauty's dad is a practicing lawyer at the High Court in Chennai and her mom a home-maker. Her younger sister currently lives and works at Leuven, Belgium as a research assistant.

Singing came to her naturally and she wasn't pro-active about being a singer or an actor until she had completed her 12th board exams. She says, “I woke up one day and thought to myself—‘I have one life to live so I'd better start doing things that make me happy instead of setting out to acquire a stable profession that would please my parents and society. So I took a huge gamble and I'm still waiting for it to pay off.”
Starting her acting career in theatre, Andrea performed live at music shows. She thinks live performances don't get their due in this country, unless it's a film-related event and that's the reason she started The Show Must Go On (TSMGO), to promote live performances. As of now she has taken a conscious decision to let it lie low for sometime until she gathers enough resources and manpower to get it going again on a bigger scale.
She adds, “I am a strong believer in destiny, very romantic, nature-lover, chocoholic and foodie, and the one thing everyone who knows me agrees upon is that I'm a free spirit who lives life on her own terms.”
