Music highlights

There are five songs in the album. The best is ‘Yen Edhayam Vanthatha’ where the music director has skilfully showcased Saindhavi’s husky voice. Navin sings ‘Nijama Nijama’ in a north Indian style. ‘Nenachen Nenachen’, rendered by Nivas, opens with a Bhutanese folk tune that is hummed. ‘Sattena Nenjil’, sung by M.L.R. Karthikeyan and Priya Mahesh, is sure to attract the listeners with the trumpet making its presence felt throughout. The last song, ‘Ippadiya Appadiya’, sung by Velmurugan and Malathi, is easy on the ear.

Producer R. Thangavel and M. Shanmugasundaram: We are both from Tiruppur with business interests in textiles and restaurants. Director S. Vinoth is a friend and we wanted to help him make a good film. We liked the story and the way it had shaped up after we saw the first copy.

Director S. Vinoth: I had worked as assistant director to Y.N. Murli, C. Mahesh, Senthilkumar and Gopi, and as Praveenkanth’s co-director. The producers are my good friends and were ready to back Swasame because I was the director.

Hero Sathya: I have acted in three films — Valluvan Vasuki, Nellu and Maharaja . In Swasame , I play a young man from a middle class family who wants to come up in life. With ample doses of love and sentiment thrown in, the story is sure to appeal to audiences.

Music director Tajnoor: This is my sixth film after Vamsam, Ethan, Ayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi, Mallukattu and Kaliyugam . I am doing the re-recording of Swasame and then will do it for Gnanakirukkan, Adithalam and Athuvera Ithuvera . I’m thrilled to receive a positive response from those who’ve listened to the audio.
