The phenomenon of global education has taken the world by storm. Students from developing nations in particular are crossing over the geographical boundaries in hope of better education. Besides providing more employment opportunities, the multicultural approach of global education prepares the learners to compete and collaborate with students from different backgrounds, an importance facet what with the world shrinking to become a global village. The ever increasing demand for such institutions has spurted escalation in supplies. American Honors, a groundbreaking new honors program offered at select community colleges has recently launched a 2+2 pathway program in India which would help students to inch closer towards their dream of studying in Ivy League American Universities. This will help students from different backgrounds to overcome financial challenges and yet pursue their dreams.

“Indian middle-class is growing dramatically. More and more families and young people are interested in getting a top degree. There is a greater appetite for studying abroad. But cost is still a problem,” notes David Finegold, Chief Academic Officer of American Honors, which offers an affordable path to help students find the best fit college for them. “The American honors program has a great deal of potential in India because it offers a path to get to those top US colleges and universities at a lower price than it would typically cost for four years.”

After studying for two years under American Honors, students would be able to transfer to top-grade universities for the final two-years of their degrees.

The program also provides each student with an advisor during the two years at the community college who would guide the students and apprise them of the study patterns in the US. With accessible personalized guidance, students would be able to make sound decisions on matters related to degree plan, course selection and financial aid.

For those who have certain financial constraints, the program offers a respite. “We have a foundation alongside the program that is able to award up to USD 4000 dollars in scholarship to international students. Also, a number of colleges we work with, offer athletic scholarships to students who are strong athletes.”
