Vizag boy Vamsi Krishna is optimistic about his upcoming untitled movie under the banner of Satya Movies. After his lead debut in Ooha Chitram, Vamsi has bagged a couple of meaty side roles in films like Prabhas-starrer Darling and Venkatesh-starrer Chandramukhi, a sequel to the first Chandramukhi.
For a debutant with no filmi background Ooha Chitram was just an experiment at the box office. “ Ooha Chitram was a dark thriller and it appealed only to those who like and appreciate such genre. But the untitled film under Satya Movies, the makers of successful films like Blade Babji , is a mass entertainer. It is an out-and-out formula film with loads of action, comedy, drama and dance. I am keeping my fingers crossed for this movie,” says Vamsi.
With just about three songs to be shot, the film is likely to be released in July. Malayalam beauty Manjulika is playing the leading lady.

I do not want to be typecast. My goal is to be recognised as an actor who can suit in any type of roles right from good character shades to negative roles and from comedy to romancing stuff,” says he.
For Vamsi, the entry into the filmdom was by chance. Gautam Menon spotted him in an airport and cast him in a cameo in Venkatesh-starrer Gharshana. And since then he had been with the industry. After having done his MBA from UK, he worked in a couple of films including in Okka Vichitram by Teja and others like Style, Nava Vasantham and Krishna Arjuna.
