The audio release of Indira Pictures' “Mandhirapunnagai” was a star-studded event with directors S.P. Jananathan, Sasikumar, Samuthirakani, Hari, Vasantha Balan, Suseendran, Ezhil, lyricist Vivekha and producer TG Thyagarajan present for the occasion. The Tamil Film Producers Council president Ramanarayanan released the audio CD of the film. Three songs and the film's trailer were screened. The film is directed by Karu. Pazhaniappan, who's also donning the actor's hat in the film. Meenakshi is his co-star. Music is scored by Vidhyasagar.
There are seven songs in the album. ‘Thanni Poda Vaapaa' written by Vivekha and sung by Karthik has a repeat as a remixed version. The best in the album is ‘Enna Kuraiyo' sung by Sudha Ragunathan and written by Arivumadhi. The Carnatic flavour is amply supported by impressive lyrics. A nice duet by the same lyricist is ‘Satta Sada Sada' sung by Karthik and Shwetha. In Yugabharathi's lyrics, and Maya and Jassegift's voices comes the pleasant number ‘Anbillama Karanchadhu'. ‘Megam Vandhu Pogum' written by Arivumadhi and sung by Anweshaa and Madhu Balakrishnan, is a good piece. With meaningful lyrics by Arivumadhi ‘Siththan Mugam Ondru' makes you sit up and take notice.

The audio of Foot Steps Production's “Sollitharava”, produced by S. Sundaravalli and directed by S. Sivaraman, was released recently. It has new faces Sivan and Sharmila in the lead roles. The cast also includes Deepashree and Ramana Ramakrishnan. The music is scored by E.K. Babi, with lyrics by Kalaikumar. The director says the film is about brain-drain and how it can be tackled.
There are five songs in the film, with two repeats. Karthik has given a beautiful solo in ‘Nanum Neeyum', while Karthikeyan has done a fine job in ‘Thediyathe'. This song has a repeat by Hemambika, which is impressive. In the voice of Hariharan comes the pleasant ‘Azhagiya Selai', which has been rendered equally well by S.N. Surendran.
