Meaty item number
Salman Khan is happily putting in a word for Zarine Khan, the girl he had introduced in Veer after he reportedly thought she was a lookalike of Katrina. Now the actress ahs landed an item number in the upcoming Ready. The song titled Character Dheela has Salman playing Dharmendra of Sholay, Raj Kapoor of Shri 420 and Dilip Kumar from Mughal-e-Azam. Zarine has a three-in-one role too playing Hema Malini aka Basanti, Anarkali and Nargis!

Looks like Chitrangada Singh has had enough of serious movies. The lady is taking a serious plunge into commercial films with David Dhawan’s son Rohit’s film Desi Boyz with Akshay Kumar by trying her hand at comedy and shaking a leg to the David Dhawan style of dance. News has also flown in that Chitrangada is now signed by the Roshans to play a mutant in Krissh 2! Apparently the ethereal beauty got the role on the recommendation of Hrithik Roshan.
The A factor
There is too much of an Aamir connection in the upcoming release Zokkomon. The lead actor, of course, is Darsheel Safary, whom Aamir introduced in Taare Zameen Par. There is also Manjari Fadnis in the film who was the second lead in Aamir’s production Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na. But a lesser known fact is even Satyajit Bhatkal was given his first break by Aamir. Ashutosh Gowariker-directed Lagaan had a making of the film directed by Satyajit. This one went on to get a National Award. It was titled Madness in the Desert in English and Chale Chalo in Hindi.
