The Residency, Avanashi Road

The Residency celebrates an eco-friendly Christmas. The decorations are all with recycled paper. The 12-feet-high Christmas tree, crib and even the chandeliers hanging on the lobby are made of paper from old newspapers and magazines. It took 20 days to design the whole place. “We wanted to celebrate Christmas in a traditional way,” says Erine Louis. “Traditionally, children always made their own stars. So we decided to do the same but do it by using recycled paper to keep alive the spirit of Christmas.” The Residency also offers a Christmas buffet. Priced at Rs. 925, it is available on December 25 for lunch and dinner. For details, call 0422-2241414.
