It's raining, it's pouring and Monsoon has a new menu! The 24-hour restaurant at The Park presents an interesting mix of classic favourites and new additions.
Executive Chef Rajiv Vimal and his team have put together a menu that showcases cuisines from around the world including pan-Indian, continental and oriental.
There is a special section dedicated to sandwiches with interesting fillings such as shrimp salad, smoked turkey panini and wild mushroom and goat cheese.

We started our meal with an extensive kebab platter with all the usual suspects from reshmi to seekh kebab and a silken smooth hariyali paneer.
For the main course, my companion opted for the classic chemmeen moilee with steamed rice. The Kerala style prawn curry cooked in coconut milk was comfort food at its best.
I opted for a rigatoni — the plump tubes of pasta wallowed sensuously in a creamy, delicately spiced white sauce.

For desserts we decided on delicious little bharwan jamoon and the tiramisu as it combines the goodness of coffee with cream and rum to create literally heaven in your mouth. Chef was horrified that we were not trying Monsoon's signature mud cake.
With a decidedly sweet tooth, we happily opted for it too.
When it came to the table wobbling with its core of molten, hot chocolate, we were delighted with our gluttony. As the spoon cut into the quivering crust to release a dark, bubbling river of hot chocolate, it was as close to heaven as one could get. A meal for two without alcohol would cost Rs. 2,500.
