On Sundays, Cubbon Park turns into an hang out not only for two legged walkers and joggers, but also for man’s best friend. Pet parents get together every Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Cubbon Park where a fenced area is allotted for dogs.

Chandrashekar S., the owner of two German Shepherds says, “The dog park was shifted from the Bandstand after its renovation about a year ago. They now conduct cultural and musical festivals in the area.” Girija K., who owns Sammy, a two-year old German shepherd says, “This is the third time we’ve come to the dog park. I live in an apartment and there is no space for pets. I make it a point to bring him here as he gets to enjoy and socialise with other canines and can roam around in the free spaces.”

Geet and Prashant Karmakar, a couple from Whitefield contend, “It’s our first time here. We were a little hesitant to let the dogs free without the leash but they have adapted and mingled with the other pets.”

The dog park is a fully fenced area. Another participant, Daisy Rebecca says, “Dog lovers, who do not have pets of their own can also visit the park and play with the pooches.”

So, if you want an action packed Sunday, instead of lazing at home, head to the dog park at Cubbon park.
