Whether you are a party-goer or a festival enthusiast, check out these styles to add zing to your evenings.

Dazzle everyone: A little bit of bling goes a long way.

Sparkles, glitters, bling are the key words when you think of the latest in the jargon of evening fashion. Although, shimmers have always been a staple for the party season but this winter is bringing all the shimmer and shine in a style that you simply can't resist.

Short and sleeveless

While winters are all about adding warmth, the evenings can be jazzy with short party dresses. “Team a short colourful dress with a stole or a comfy jacket. Also, it's not necessary that one is partying outdoors during the evening,” suggests designer Anjana Bhargava. Well said, that applies to the sleeveless attire too.

Select any gown style with shimmers as an add-on to dazzle during the evening.

Rich fabrics

Taffeta, velvet, brocade are rarely seen during the scorching weather.

They are the winter tonic and can enhance your personality like never before.

“Some textures are classic and suit all types. Brocade and velvet never go out of fashion. Whether as accessories or a complete dress, they are always alluring. Velvet with a hint of Swarovski can be perfect evening wear for winters,” says designer Raghu Rathore.

He further adds, “My winter collection is all about rich silk velvets, gabardine wool, satins. They provide warmth and also look formal.”

Go for dresses, skirts or evening trousers in rich fabrics, with no trouble. And, a nice tee top or cowl style can be teamed up with such amazing lowers.

Mix and match

This is festive season but that doesn't mean you have to be bling from head to toe. The entire sparkle look can sometimes be gaudy and a big turn off. “Blending shimmer with a casual one is the way out,” advises designer Kavita Bhartiya. “The sequin or Swarovski glamour can be easily contrasted with casual denims, plain skirts or colourful leggings.” Now that's subtle style with a bold look!

The classic gown

And how can we sideline the classic evening gowns? This single full-length dress is more than enough to set you apart from the crowd. “A sparkling gown for late evenings is a perfect choice. They reflect sheer elegance and also look glamorous,” says Deepak Aggarwal, MD, Kazo. Gowns for this season are straight but not flowing, off-shouldered with less embellishment and in rich fabrics like metallic, brocade and more.

Goodbye to dull palette

Evening means parties; so don't select hues that reflect dullness and depression? If you want coats or shawls, mauve, purple, burgundy are the latest in colours. With Christmas and New Year on the horizon, why not select clothes that gel well with evening parties; whether it's a wedding or a simple night out. Bold and bright shades makes you feel different and also add zing to your mood.

Accessories

How can your twilight bash ignore gorgeous accessories? Though, we prefer minimal when accessorising in chill weather, a good piece like a bold pendant, diamond earrings, chunky necklace or glittering bracelet can turn you into a diva.

Try some smart knee-length boots if jewellery is not your style. Boots are a big rage this season and can be selected in varying heels. And, when it comes to bags and purses, clutches are the call of the day. Swarovski, bead-studded handy purses are apt for any evening outings. And this suits all age group!

Now that you have jotted down the list for this season's best party wear, it's time to make a dazzling impression with your shimmering attire!
