School notes of Hyderabad

The children of Std. VII of D.A.V. Public School, Safilguda celebrated World Book Day to encourage the art of reading and inculcate the habit of reading in students. The children were encouraged to read books by Enid Blyton and Agatha Christie novels, and also bestsellers like “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” and “The 3 Mistakes of my Life.”

Children were introduced to novels, comics, magazines, short stories, epics and biographies The celebration had four rounds. In the grammar round there were varying competitions for children like debates on the topic “importance of books” and notes on books by the chief guests.

In the comprehensive round they wer told about the significance of reading and listening. Reading round was the most important round and the children were enthusiastic about reading books.

The last round was the interview round where the children were asked their experience and the plots of the books they read.
