School notes from Hyderabad

The investiture ceremony of the new school cabinet of Kendriya Vidyalaya Ordnance Factory, Eddumailaram, Medak was held recently. The Principal, Md. Masood Ali welcomed the chief guest, G. Shyam Kumar, ex-principal Kendriya Vidyalaya. Mr. Kumar addressed the children. He told them to develop leadership qualities and become better citizens. The office bearers vowed to bring name and fame to the school in all fields.

The investiture ceremony of Army Public School, R.K.Puram was held recently. The solemn occasion was presided by Major General K. Digvijay Singh General Officer Commanding Headquarters Andhra Sub Area, Chairman Army Public Schools Secunderabad and President Secunderabad Cantonment Board. He was accompanied by his wife Tripti Kunwar.

Smartly turned up, the school council members and contingents from the four houses gathered at the assembly ground where they were administered the oath of integrity and loyalty. The occasion inculcated a sense of pride and responsibility in the newly elected council members to excel in all spheres of life. The chief guest appreciated the students for achieving 100 per cent results in Std. X with 26 students getting 10 CGPA and 98 per cent result in Std. XII.

The 19th Annual Day celebrations of

Venus High School, Tolichowki, was held at Ravindra Bharati. Children from pre-primary to high school participated. The chief guest was Hafeeza Karamath Ali Khan. Miss Nahid welcomed the audience.

The Principal, Mohammed Hidayath Ali Khan and vice-principal Anwar Ansari read the annual report and highlighted the activities and achievements of the school.

Students staged plays in English, Hindi, Urdu and Telugu. The plays highlighted some of the present day problems..

The recital of songs, old and new, was well received by the audience.
