Remembering Darwin

Survival of the fittest, struggle for existence and natural selection – these catch phrases come to mind when we think of Darwin. Charles Robert Darwin was one of the most significant individuals in the history of Science and is remembered for his Theory of Evolution. Darwin had observed that although all living organisms reproduce, the popularion of several different species of animals and plants have a tendency to stay fairly constant over long periods of time. February 12 is celebrated as Darwin Day to remember his contribution to scientific thought and to emphasise the importance of Science.
