Out of the box

June 25, 2015 03:22 pm | Updated 03:22 pm IST

Every day when the sun peeps out from the hills, little children are seen in front of the television with Chhota Bheem and other such cartoons that feed their brains with nothing creative. They become pets to their TVs.

One of my grandmothers says, “My childhood was great, we used to smile and laughed, and worked as a team. But growing up within this box, children and teenagers have become slaves.”

What one should visualise in their heads are beautiful images of the Himalayas, deserts of Rajasthan, pyramids of Egypt and the oceans.

Don’t let these boxes contain your creativity and turn you into a monster.
