Not so proud

September 30, 2013 08:11 pm | Updated June 02, 2016 04:16 pm IST

Having won our freedom from the British 67 years ago, it hasn’t made much difference to some lives. Our parents don’t even let us cross busy roads without assistance or a warning to be careful. One doesn’t feel proud to be independent after seeing all this.
