My hard earned rupee

December 23, 2013 07:06 pm | Updated 07:08 pm IST

It was a Sunday. I wanted to buy chocolate. I asked my mother to give me a rupee. She said, “no.” I felt bad. Then mummy said, “If you do some work, I will give you a rupee.” I thought for a while.

Then I took a bucket and filled it with water. I watered the plants. It was a hot day and I was sweating. But I felt happy.

When I finished I ran to my mother. She was happy too. She gave me one rupee.

But now, I did not want to waste it on buying chocolate. It was my hard earned one rupee! So I put it in the piggy bank.
