To see children running

Not while they play, but

As they search for their parents.

To see children join their muddy little hands

Not to pray, but

To beg.

It’s a pity!

To see children laughing

Not as they express happiness, but

Hoping that someday, someone

Will come to them

With a smile, a hug and a bag.
