In harmony

On a pleasant evening, a kite appeared next to our house. With its huge body, sharp claws and pointed beak, it had caught the attention of everyone in the neighbourhood. It started attacking people. Even I wasn’t spared on many instances. It scared me. My family members also were attacked. It became a fierce figure in our neighbourhood like a lion in a jungle.

After some days, the attacks became less frequent. We noticed that another kite had joined it. Both of them built a nest on top of a coconut tree. It has laid eggs and the kite seldom attacks us. They are busy protecting their eggs from crows. The kites, like the parrots, crows and sparrows in our neighbourhood are a part of it and live harmoniously.
